Beans
Vegetables like beans are very important for your hair diet because they contain plenty of protein necessary for hair growth - iron, biotin and zinc.

Green vegetables
Spinach, broccoli, swiss chard, kale, arugula, chicory are excellent sources of iron, fiber, calcium and vitamin A which help produce sebum, the oily substance that protects the hair from drying out.

Eggs
Fresh eggs (especially yolk), contain a high levels of quality protein, vitamins and minerals. They contain especially vitamin A, B and D.
They are low in calories, holding about 80 kcal per medium egg, so they are great even if you are on a diet.


What to Eat for Healthy Hair
Salmon
Is a high quality source or protein, vitamin B 12, iron and Omega-3 fat acid. The omega-3 fatty acid is necessary for a healthy scalp which prevents hair from becoming dull.

Nuts
Nuts have a high oil content so they are the best energy source. They are a great source of potassium, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acid and zinc. A zinc deficiency can lead to hair loss so remember to include nuts in your menu.

Oysters, beef and lamb
They are a great source of antioxidants and zinc. Zinc also increases appetite and helps heal wounds and cold sores faster.

Carrots
Carrots contain a great source of vitamin A which helps the scalp to become healthy. A single carrot can supply all the vitamin A your body needs for the whole day. Carrots also provide us with energy and protection from ultraviolet light. Just be careful eating an excessive amount of carrots can make your skin appear orange though it doesn't do any harm.

Whole grains
Are a great source of fibers, nutrients and antioxidants. They contain vitamin B, E, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc. They are cholesterol free and low on saturated fat. Whole grain vitamins are beneficial against hair loss and increase iron absorption.

Low fat dairy products
Low fat dairy products are a great source of calcium, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium and protein. They can help reduce the risk of obesity, dental caries, hypertension and help stimulate hair growth.
