The Special K Diet

Eating cereal is something most people enjoy, because they are healthy and delicious. Now people who love cereal have never had it so easy when it comes to losing weight. You can combine your favorite meal with weight loss through the Special K diet so you can get the gorgeous body you yearn for.

The Special K Diet is a diet plan consisting in consuming more cereal, therefore fiber. This diet is suppose to make you loose up to 6 lbs in 2 weeks.
The basic of the Special K diet is to replace 2 meals a day, one at breakfast and the other one at lunch or dinner with Special K cereal and skim milk. The third meal you can consume it as you regularly do. For snacks you can eat fruit, vegetables or a Special K bar.

There have been studies conducted in which participants were supervised while undergoing the diet plan and after the two week period they lost up to six pounds. The participants had a calorie intake of about 1600, a smaller calorie intake than they usually had.

The upside of the Special K diet:

  • eating milk and cereal is a great way to supply your body with calcium

  • eating breakfast regularly can help with weight loss and supplies the body with energy

  • by replacing 2 meals with Special K cereal the calorie intake is going to be lower than what you would normally consume

  • cereal eatinglosing weight


    The downside of the Special K diet:

  • at some point you might get tired of eating cereal

  • consuming only one regular meal and 2 servings of cereal a day may not satisfy completely one's hunger

  • going back to regular eating habits after the diet is done may cause you to regain the weight you lost, but this goes for almost every diet


  • There are a variety of Special K products available, making it easier to go on the diet because you don't have to eat the same thing every day or at both meals. You can choose from different assortments of Special K: cereal, protein bars, snack bars, crackers, waffles. You can add fruit to the servings to make them more delicious.
    So if you are looking to slim down without too much effort try The Special K Diet.
