Our memory is one of our most treasured possessions so it is necessary to make sure it remains at it's peak. Find out how you can enhance your memory with food.

How many times haven't you felt like you just can't remember things the way you used to and you just can't figure out why. It affects you at your job or at school, or even in your personal life.

Well certain foods can help enhance your memory, so if you are not eating healthy, it might affect you memory as well as your health.

The way we eat affects every single part of our body. We need to have healthy balanced meals in order for our body to get all the nutrients it needs to function at it's highest capacity.
In order to help your memory improve you need to stimulate the brain as well as eat healthy.
Here are the healthy foods that can help you stimulate and improve your memory:

  • healthy fats are beneficial for our body. Healthy fats can be contained in walnuts, flax seeds, salmon, tuna fish, extra virgin olive oil. These are good fats, fats that help keep blood vessels healthy. Healthy blood vessels maintain a good blood circulation in order for the blood to transport all the oxygen needed towards the brain. Avoid eating processed foods because they contain trans fatty acids which are actually harmful for our health.



  • Vegetables contain a lot of nutrients and antioxidants our body needs. Most of these nutrients are beneficial and stimulate brain activity so consuming them regularly is a must.

    The best vegetables with the highest amount of nutrients necessary for the brain are the ones that contain Vitamin B complex, C and E, beta carotene, zinc and magnesium.

    Tomatoes, dark colored berries, green vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprout, orange vegetables like carrots, sweet potatoes, peppers are all beneficial for our brain. Vitamin B is known for helping develop new brain cells.


  • Lecithin found in eggs, milk, soybeans and fish is a great element for enhancing memory


  • fruits like berries, especially acai berries, plums, oranges, avocados, cherries, red apples and red grapes contain a lot of antioxidants which benefit our mind and body since they prevent oxidation



  • All foods rich in antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin B complex are beneficial for our mind as well as our body.

    Maintain a healthy lifestyle and consume as many healthy rich foods as possible to stimulate, maintain or enhance your memory.
