If you have a good posture automatically makes you appear slimmer, taller and more confident, but most of all a good posture is crucial for a healthy back.

Check your posture by standing with your back to a wall - if your shoulders, bottom and back of head are all touching the wall, then your posture is correct.

Don't wait until you'll look like a hunchback, try these exercises to improve your posture instead.

Do exercises that strengthen and tone your back. Those muscles must be toned in order to make them flexible and firm. Shoulders are also very important, that's why try the following exercises to improve your posture:

1. Raise your arms up in the air.
Keep your back and head straight, so far so good. Now bend the forearms towards your shoulders and touch the blades slowly.

Repeat this 10 times with both arms, then make 10 other bends for each arm separately.

2. Sit in a chair, try to lean forward so that your chest touches your thighs. Then, stretch out your arms, keep your fingers pointed upwards.

Slowly lift them up as high as you can. Then rest and repeat it several times. You'll feel how your back is gradually toned and stretched.

3. Choose the perfect mattress for sleeping, this must support your spine firmly. Avoid sleeping on your stomach - side and back positions are always healthier. Roll up a towel and place it under your neck, the pillow should be put under your knees.

This way you'll do a huge favor to your spine and back.
If you are a side-sleeper you'll need and extra pillow between your legs to keep your spine straight. We all know how important it is to have a healthy beauty sleep.

4. When you carry heavy bags always remember you should use your leg and stomach to lift things. Don't torture your back with it, you might cause long-term damages.

Every time you have a large package in your hands, try to keep it as close as you can to your body, this way the effort will be lower.

Do these exercises to improve your posture since the first thing people notice about you is not your eyes, hair, or your clothes - it's your posture.
If you stand up straight you give off an aura of self confidence and grace, but if you slump and stoop you'll look like you're ashamed to be taking up space.
